5 Arrested In Nashua Police Granite Shield Drug Sweep

NASHUA, NH -- Five individuals were arrested in the latest Nashua police "Granite Shield" drug sweep this week. The sweep was conducted Wednesday and the individuals were charged with crimes involving heroin, crack cocaine and oxycodone, among other drugs, according to Nashua Police Captain James Testaverde. Granite Shield is a state-funded police program targeting opioid distribution in New Hampshire.

These are the individuals arrested Wednesday:

• Leeann Cote, 46, of Nashua, was charged with four counts of selling crack cocaine and two counts of selling cocaine. He was held without bail and faces stiffer penalties because of his previous drug convictions, police said.
• Jose Rivera, 37, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was charged with possession of oxycodone, tramadol hydrochloride and alprazolam. He was released on bond.
• Richard Cruz-Proventud, 26, of Nashua, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court after he was charged with cocaine possession. He refused bail and was held in custody pending an arraignment.
• Dakota Gladstone, 20, of Nashua, was charged with two counts of selling heroin. He was held in custody and faces stiffer penalties because of his previous drug convictions, police said.
• Joshua Cameron, 34, of Nashua, was charged with suboxone possession and released on bond pending an arraignment.

A Granite Shield sweep earlier this month netted three arrests.
