6 Vehicle Accident On Broad Street In Nashua Injures Multiple People
Firefighters, police, and AMR worked the scene at the Coliseum Avenue intersection Wednesday. Multiple victims were taken to hospitals.
NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue, AMR ambulance, and Nashua Police received several reports of a multi-vehicle accident in the area of Coliseum Avenue and Broad Street Wednesday.
Crews arrived, initially reported eight vehicles involved, and requested additional AMR ambulances and NFR apparatus at about 7 p.m. Several of the vehicles involved had heavy damage and several people were suffering from injuries. The adjusted number of vehicles actually involved was six, several other vehicles were witnesses.
The vehicles involved were located in the westbound lane of Broad Street, which was shut down to all traffic.

Three AMR ambulances transported multiple victims to the hospital some of the injuries were described as severe but did not appear to be life-threatening. Firefighters and AMR medics evaluated multiple people involved in the accident. Many of the drivers and occupants refused medical treatment but were visibly upset.
Police placed one man in handcuffs after speaking to him and took him from the scene in the back of the cruiser. No information is available if he faces charges.

Several tow trucks worked to clear the scene, which was active for about two hours.
Nashua Police are handling the accident investigation.
