Ward 9 Alderman Dan Moriarty is hoping to get some momentum going for an online petition to save the remaining mature trees on Main Street, which are slated for cutting as part of the sidewalk upgrade project. He's circulating an online petition via Care2 an is looking to gather 1,000 virtual signatures.
He writes:
"If you agree that the mature trees ... are worth saving then please sign the online petition to the Board of Public Works asking them to reconsider their plans to cut them all down.
