
With soccer’s World Cup competition converging in 2014, followed by the 2016 Summer Olympics, Brazil boasts one of the fastest growing economies in the world, which translates into opportunities for New Hampshire businesses.
Those prospects can be explored during Brazil Trade Day on Feb. 26, at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester. The daylong event will feature insights into the business culture, best practices when expanding sales to Brazil, logistical and customs considerations and finding success in this market.
“Brazil exports total $48 million a year, making it New Hampshire’s 15th largest trading partner,” said Tina Kasim, program manager for the New Hampshire International Trade Resource Center at the Department of Resources and Economic Development. “It has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and there are trade opportunities across all sectors.”

Speakers will include Craig Cassarino, New Hampshire’s commercial consul to Brazil and representatives of companies doing business in the country, as well as a teleconference with a representative of the US Consulate in Rio de Janeiro.
Brazil Trade Day runs from 9 am to 3:30 pm and the cost is $75, which includes breakfast and lunch. Register online at www.ExportNH.org.

New Hampshire companies already moving forward with plans for international marketing can learn how to target those new countries at seminar on Feb. 13. International Marketing: Putting Your Best Face Forward will offer tips on how to increase website traffic and using social media in other parts of the world.
Speakers include Nancy Clark, president of Glen Group in North Conway; Allen Voivod of Epiphanies Inc., in Gilford, and Wendy Pease of Rapport International in Sudbury, Mass.
The cost to attend is $95 and includes breakfast and lunch. It will be held from 9 am to 3:30 pm at DRED, 172 Pembroke Rd., Concord.
