
DUNSTABLE, Mass.: Clifton S. Davis of Dunstable, Mass., died on June 13, 2013 at his home.
He was happily married to Theresa Davis with whom he would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on September 5, 2013.
Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Clayton and Clara Davis. He attended Lowell High School, then he ran the family poultry farm, before he proudly served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a gunner on the USS Midway. After the war he worked for Nashua Corporation and later worked for Market Basket Distributors in Lawrence. He retired from Market Basket in November of 1995.

He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Nashua. In his earlier years he was a volunteer with the Dunstable Police Department,Past President of the Dunstable Fire Fighter’s Association and a Lieutenant Volunteer with the Dunstable Fire Department.
He loved motorcycles, working outside and taking care of his yard, trips to the Islands with his wife and friends, but most of all he loved his wife and family, especially his children, son-in-laws and grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters and sons in law; Maureen and her husband Peter Wasylak of Dunstable, Rachel and her husband Steven Chaddock of Dunstable, Joan and her husband David Straub of Trophy Club, Texas, and Donna and her husband Jeffrey Phelps of
Dunstable. He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren; Bradley and his wife Holly Wasylak of Corinth, Texas, Jenna Wasylak of Dorchester, Mass., Stephanie and Ashley Chaddock of Dunstable, and Jared and Lauren Phelps of Dunstable. Also surviving him are two sisters; Ann Butterfield of Billerica, and Marjorie
Shea of Westford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Archer Davis, Mary Pelletier, Barbara Bacon, Sally Seward, and Martha Gross.
There will be a Memorial Mass on Wed. June 19, 2013, 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church 216 E. Dunstable Rd. Nashua, NH. Burial in the Swallow Cemetery, Brook Street, Dunstable. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to the VNA of Greater Lowell, 336
