Intern: New to United Way, but not to Nashua

Hello there! My name is Brittany Frizzell and I am the new social media and marketing intern here at United Way of Greater Nashua. I am 23 years old, a Nashua native, and a 2011 graduate of Rivier University.

This opportunity was sent to me by my editor at Nashua Patch, where I am an entertainment blogger. Over the past year I have been reading books, watching movies, and writing reviews and recommendations about them.  I am looking to start a career in marketing and public relations and knew that this internship with United Way of Greater Nashua would be a great way to gain experience.

My first community service experience was as a Girl Scout. I participated in many events,  including cookie sale fundraisers and a donation drive that collected beauty products for women at a local shelter. I also used to go caroling at Senior Housing every Christmas.

Volunteering as an intern with United Way of Greater Nashua will allow me to combine my love of communicating with the city that I love so much. Being able to give back to the place where I was born and raised is an amazing feeling. I look forward to helping our community and connecting with you during the next few months!
