In just one year of operation, the Animal Welfare Alliance Resource & Education of NH (AWARENH) has:

· spayed/neutered 925 cats and dogs

· added 7 veterinarians, 12 veterinary technicians, and more than two dozen dedicated volunteers

· launched a low-cost vaccine clinic in May 2025, vaccinating over 250 pets for just $10 per vaccine, with no exam fees

· added microchipping to its services

· opened its pet food pantry to serve families in need

Since opening its sparkling new clinic with a full surgical suite in Hooksett, N.H. on Oct. 8, 2024, AWARENH has been committed to providing affordable, high-quality care to pets in need with no questions asked. Our programs help reduce the financial barriers that often prevent pets from receiving essential care and help keep pets and their owners together, additionally preventing pets from being surrendered to animal shelters that are already at capacity.

“We are so grateful to be helping so many pets stay with their owners in their loving homes and to offer this important work to our New Hampshire community,” says Journey Ewell, AWARENH founder. “This anniversary is a celebration of the pets, families, and volunteers who make our work possible, and we welcome everyone to see the impact of our clinic firsthand.”

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see so many pets leave our clinic happy, healthy, and ready to thrive in their homes,” says Dr. Cassie Roberts, medical director at AWARENH. “Every spay, neuter, and vaccine helps prevent suffering and strengthens our community.”

Come see what we do and who we are in person during our anniversary celebration, take a tour of the clinic and learn more, enjoy refreshments, and take part in our raffles.
