'Dick LaRose Way' to be Dedicated Oct. 4 in Public Ceremony

Nashua Aldermen to honor one of their own by renaming an alleyway for former Alderman Dick LaRose.

Mayor Donnalee Lozeau and the Nashua Board of Aldermen will dedicate Richard LaRose Way, the alleyway between School Street and West Pearl Street, as per R-13-94.

The dedication ceremony will be Friday, October 4, 2013 at 5:30 p.m.

Richard “Dick” LaRose served as an alderman from Ward 2 from 1986 to 1991 and again from 2004 to 2011.  He also served as a state representative from 1995 to 2001.  He served not for personal gain or recognition, but to leave this city and state a better place, said Lozeau.

“I am pleased that the Board of Aldermen unanimously agreed to honor our late friend and colleague in this way.  Dick probably would not have liked the fuss and attention, but his lifetime commitment and service to Nashua needs to be memorialized for future generations,” Lozeau said.

All are welcome to join the Mayor, Board of Aldermen and LaRose family for the dedication.
