Downtown Sidewalk Update for July 26: Northbound Lane Closure
What's new, what to expect this week.

During the week of July 22:
Installed three catch basin structures, removed trees, bollards, meter posts, street lights and foundations on the East side of Block 2. The brick work was completed on the Main Street Bridge crosswalk. We trenched and ran electrical conduit from Main St. to Mechanic St. to power the new street lights that we will be installing on Block 2.
Inclement weather prevented us from finishing both the brick work on the West side of Block 2 and the curb installation on the East side of Block 2. Obstacles like granite culverts and conduit encased in concrete continue to create challenges.
Week of July 29:
We plan to pull the granite curbing on the East side of Block 2 on Monday night, July 29, and install the new curb on Tuesday creating a lane closure on Tuesday in the northbound lane.
We will begin running conduit, set the planter and install a light foundation at the corner of Park and Main.We will do our best to limit the obstruction of parking and impacts to businesses.
Unfortunately, it is necessary to take parking spaces where we are working. Our schedule is tentative and subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Please do not hesitate to contact me or Andy Patrician, Operations Manager, on site or at 589-3140 with any concerns.
