Registration runs from 8-10 a.m. Registration fee is $25 each, free for children under 12. Suggested fundraising minimum is $100.
Protecting Wildlife at Home and Abroad
Thanks to your generous support, in just the first 7 years of the Scholarship, 38 Zoo New England award winners have been able to participate in a variety of local and international conservation initiatives. Here are just a few examples:
- Reintroduction of endangered drill baboons back into the wild of Nigeria.
- The use of radio transmitters to study population dynamics of endangered turtles in Massachusetts.
- Assessment of the impact of jaguar predation on marine turtle populations in Costa Rica.
- Restoration of Atlantic puffin colonies off the coast of Maine.
The Gilmour Scholarship Awards, and the extraordinary work they support, are only possible because of your generosity and that of your fellow Gilmour Fund riders, walkers and donors. Thank you for being part of this remarkable effort and we hope to see you on May 11th!
