Hudson Firefighters Deliver Holiday Meals
An annual event in Hudson, inspired by need and perpetuated out of human kindness.

In the sprit of the holiday, the Professional Firefighters of Hudson and the on duty firefighters from the Burns Hill and Robinson Road Stations delivered Thanksgiving Day meals to several families in need on Thanksgiving Day.
For 15 years members of the department have been bringing some much-needed holiday cheer and food to Hudson families. The Thanksgiving dinner box started out as a goodwill feature to assist the town’s residents and has expanded over the years. There was a need in the community that was not being filled and they wanted to give back to the community they serve.
Organized and delivered by the town’s firefighters the boxes include turkey, stuffing, pie, assorted fresh vegetables, potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy. The food is purchased from the Hudson Hannaford Store. The firefighters look forward to the deliveries each year and being able to brighten the lives of those they assist. The need has always been there, and in the last few years has become greater. The Thanksgiving dinner program is an effort the firefighters will continue to provide as long as there is a need in the community.
