NASHUA, NH — Jersey’s Mike’s will open a new location at 495 Amherst St. in Nashua on Wednesday.

Franchise owners Austin Whetsel and Courtney Casavant will donate 50 percent of Wednesday’s sales to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua to celebrate the grand opening. Customers who receive a special fundraising coupon can make a $2 contribution in exchange for a regular sub through Aug. 4. Customers must have the coupon to be eligible.

“We are so thrilled to be in Nashua,” Casavant said. “Jersey Mike’s is a brand that believes in the power of giving, we give to give, and we believe that a sub sandwich can make a difference.”

Orders can be placed online or through the Jersey Mike’s app. Curbside pickup is also available for orders placed through the app. Delivery is also available through the app or third-party delivery partners in most areas.

Casavant said they picked the Humane Society for Greater Nashua as their grand opening fundraising partner because “our furry friends need your help — whether it's rehoming, actively preventing animal cruelty, supplying food and shelter for strays, and so much more, the Humane Society for Greater Nashua provides essential services to support and protect the animals in our community.”

Jersey Mike’s features premium meats and cheeses sliced on the spot and piled high on in-store baked bread, the company said, as well as freshest vegetables — onions, lettuce and tomatoes. The subs are topped off with an exquisite zing of “the juice” — red wine vinegar and an olive oil blend. Authentic cheesesteaks are grilled fresh, too, the company said.

Since 1956, the chain has opened more than 4,000 locations and raised $135 million for local charities since 2010.
