Latest Nashua Granite Shield Drug Sweep Nets 3
Nashua police said Becky Hewes, Jose Gurley and Derek Chaisson were arrested in the latest Granite Shield drug sweep.

NASHUA, NH — Three people were arrested in the latest Nashua "Granite Shield" drug sweep, police said Friday. The individuals were arrested Thursday and face charges ranging from selling heroin to failure to appear in court. Granite Shield is a state-funded police program targeting opioid distribution in the city.
Becky Hewes, 35, of Nashua, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court after a previous arrest on a drug charge. She was held without bail pending an arraignment Friday. Hewes was arrested during a previous Granite Shield sweep in November and charged with selling heroin.
Jose Gurley, 20, of Nashua, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court after a previous arrest on a drug charge. He was held without bail pending an arraignment Friday. In 2017, Gurley was charged with crack cocaine possession.

Derek Chaisson, 25, of Nashua, was charged with selling heroin. He refused bail and was held in custody pending an arraignment Friday.
It was the fourth Granite Shield sweep conducted in Nashua so far this month. Police said anyone with information about illegal drug activity in the city should contact them at 603-594-3597.
