Lightning Strikes Twice as Storm Blows Through Nashua

Fire crews responded to back-to-back calls following reports of lightning strikes Monday night.

Fire crews were just leaving a small attic fire at 13 Bloomingdale Drive when they got a call for a lightning strike on Pond View Circle, around 7:30 p.m.

"Residents witnessed lightning striking something in the woods, so we went out to investigate," said Nashua Deputy Chief Michael O'Brien Sr.

Around the same time another lightning strike was reported at 625 Amherst Street, severing a 30-foot tree branch that fell on the roof of an unoccupied home, O'Brien said.
