Lingering During Lunch Rush at Seedling Café

Sometimes I linger over a second cup of coffee on purpose as the lunch crowd files in at the recently relocated Seedling Café, now at 30 Temple St.

When I arrived here just after 11 a.m. I was the lone customer. Now, I am enjoying the bustle of the lunchtime rush, from a people-watcher perspective.

Owners Suzanne and Vin DiPiero have settled into a good midday groove.

They'd like more fork traffic for their breakfast fare, but figure all in good time -- four months since the move, and they are still attracting new customers, along with faithful regulars who followed them across town from their old Canal Street location.

Today I discovered Chow Chow, a fresher, lighter, more flavorful coleslaw, which was like a vegetable party in my mouth.

Stop by if you haven't yet, and say hello. Tell them Nashua Patch sent you. They are open 7 days a week, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays).

Find Seedling Café online and check the weekly specials via their Facebook page.
