Man Arrested In Nashua Child Sex Sting: Police
Nashua police said Kenneth Mathews, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, arranged sex with an individual he believed to be a child.

NASHUA, NH — A Massachusetts man was arrested during a child sex sting organized by Nashua police and the Department of Homeland Security, authorities announced Wednesday. Kenneth Mathews, 42, of Chelmsford, was charged with prohibited computer use, a felony. He was held in custody.
Mathews was accused of communicating over the internet with a law enforcement agent posing as a child on Jan. 16.
"(Mathews) agreed to travel to Nashua to engage in sexual contact with the person he believed to be a child," police Capt. Jonathan Lehto said in a statement.

Lehto said on Jan. 17, Mathews traveled from his Chelmsford residence to Nashua to meet up with the supposed child. Police arrested him when he arrived in Nashua. At the time, Mathews also had warrants for charges of indecent solicitation of a child and electronically disseminating indecent material to a minor out of Rhode Island.
Mathews was held on $100,000 bail pending an arraignment in Nashua District Court. Hudson police assisted in the investigation.
