Man Charged After Firing Shotgun In Residence

Police say Justin Corley endangered five others when he fired a shotgun inside a north end residence on Saturday.

Justin Corley, 29, of Nashua, was arrested Sept. 28, and is facing reckless endangerment charges after police say he fired a shotun inside a home during an argument with family members present.

Police said on Sept. 28 at about 2 a.m. the Nashua Police Department responded to a north end residence for the report of shots fired. It was reported that Corley discharged a shotgun within his residence during an argument with family members. The round traveled through Corley’s residence and into a neighboring residence before lodging in a wall. Corley also threatened a family member with the shotgun during the incident. Corley was arrested at the scene without incident. Although there were five parties at the scene that could have been injured as a result of Corley’s actions, police said no injuries were reported.

Detectives from the Nashua Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division furthered the investigation and charged Corley with: two counts of domestic violence - reckless conduct, a class B felony; three additional counts of reckless conduct,  class B felonies; and domestic violence - criminal threatening, class B felony. 

Each Class B Felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Corley is being held at the Nashua Police Department on $50,000 cash bail pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on September 30th, 2013.
