Man Charged Following Report of Gunfire on Temple Street

Gunshots were reported July 21. Clayton Turner is charged with firing a rifle recklessly.

Clayton Turner, 30, of 38 Amherst St., Apartment #1, Nashua, was arrested July 23 on an outstanding warrant for reckless conduct, a class B felony; and an electronic bench warrant for failure to appear at arraignment, a class A misdemeanor.

Police say that on July 21, 2013 at approximately 11:08 p.m.,  patrol officers responded to 29 Temple Street for a report of Shots Fired. Contact was made with the adult male victim who reported being involved in a verbal altercation with another adult male who later fired one shot from a rifle in his direction. A subsequent investigation by the Youth Services Division revealed that Turner was the person responsible for firing the rifle. 

A Class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A Class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year imprisonment, exclusive of fines.

Turner is being held on $10,000 cash or surety bail pending arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on July 24th, 2013.
