Man Charged in Jewelry Theft After Pawning Items
Brian Jalbert is charged with the September burglary and theft at Hamel Jewelers.

On October 3, 2013 at 12:22 p.m., members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniformed Patrol Division arrested Brian Jalbert, 30, no fixed address, in connection with a September burglary at a downtown jewelry store.
On September 2, 2013, Nashua Police Officers responded to Hamel Jewelers, 21 Elm Street, for the report of a burglary. The victim reported several pieces of jewelry stolen during the burglary. The investigation was furthered by detectives in the Nashua Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division Burglary Unit, who located some of the stolen jewelry sold to an area pawn shop.
The jewelry was recovered and later identified by the victim, who valued the recovered jewelry in excess of $1,500, resulting in an arrest warrant for Jalbert, charging him with receiving stolen property, a class A felony.

Jalbert is being held at the Nashua Police Department on $10,000 cash/surety bail, pending arraignment at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court.
