Man Charged with Assaulting Woman After Breaking into Apartment

Matthew Garcia, 23, last known address 8 Fulton St., Nashua, was arrested Sept. 23 on a warrant issued by Nashua Police Domestic Violence Unit charging him with Domestic Violence – Burglary.

According to police, on September 8, an acquaintance of Garcia's reported to the Nashua Police Department that Garcia had broken into her residence. She reported that after Garcia entered her apartment he threatened and assaulted her. Another woman known to Garcia was assaulted inside the residence as well. Members of the Domestic Violence Unit furthered the investigation. As a result of the investigation an arrest warrant was issued. Garcia was charged with domestic violence – burglary class B felony; simple assault class A misdemeanor (2 counts); and criminal threatening, a class A misdemeanor.
