Man Dies From Injuries In Nashua Tree Cutting Accident On Conant Road

A man working with a Lynn, Massachusetts, tree-cutting crew fell 30 feet from a tree he was working on and died at the hospital later.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue, police, and AMR ambulance responded to an accident involving workers cutting a large tree at Conant Road and Harris Road on Monday.

While en route, around noon, responders were advised that the man was unresponsive and CPR was being performed.

Firefighters and medics administered medical attention at the scene and rushed the man to St Joseph’s Hospital. Despite medical aid, he succumbed to injuries, according to sources. Police identified the victim as Amilcar Lopez-Garcia, 29.

Information gathered at the scene indicated the worker was about 30 feet up in the tree, suspended by ropes near power lines when the accident occurred. The worker fell to the ground, where he was unresponsive; the exact cause of the accident is unknown.

The tree work was being done at a residence on Conant Road by a private contractor. Workers with trucks labeled Leo Tree Service remained at the scene working Monday after investigators cleared the scene. An online search indicates Leo Tree Service is based in Lynn, Massachusetts.
