Man Facing Multiple Charges in Domestic Dispute

Nashua police said the man repeatedly hit woman and threatened her with a knife.

Nashua police arrested a man on multiple charges of assault and threatening in a domestic dispute May 7.

Police said Rodney Curtis, 22, with no fixed address in the city, was arrested after the incident at a home on Williams Street.

He was charged with:

  • eight counts of domestic violence – simple assault, a Class A misdemeanor,
  • two counts of simple assault, Class A misdemeanor,
  • two counts of criminal mischief, Class A misdemeanor,
  • one count of domestic violence – criminal threatening, a Class B felony.
Curtis was scheduled to be arraigned May 8.

Police said officers responding to the Williams Street residence reported that Curtis assaulted a woman known to him and threatened her with a knife. He is accused of grabbing and slapping the woman repeatedly, then pushing her to the floor and pulling her hair.

When two women and a man tried to intervene, Curtis allegedly pushed the women and punched the man in the face. Police said he also punched a hole in the wall and broke a banister before leaving the residence.
 
Officers located him a short time later and arrested him without incident.

No serious injuries were reported.
