Man Who Defecated in Squad Car Must Write Apology to Trooper
Edward Carroll will spend a year on probation after behaving badly in Massachusetts.

Edward Carroll of Nashua may have thought he got the last laugh when he left "a present" in the back of a Massachusetts state police cruiser, following his arrest in February, according to the Lowell Sun.
But the 66 year old, placed on probation last week by a Lowell District Court Judge, was ordered to write a letter of apology to the State Trooper who arrested him for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol on Feb. 10, after Carroll nearly sped into the cruiser head-on.
The Trooper was working a snow removal detail following a blizzard when Carroll disregarded the road signage, then assaulted the Trooper as he attempted to place him under arrest.
Carroll's case was continued without a finding until Oct. 30, 2015, at which time his probation ends. During that time Carroll must refrain from drug and alcohol use, pay $168 in restitution and write a letter of apology to the state trooper.
