Michael Raskiewicz, 46, Loved his Family, Ice Fishing, NASCAR

MANCHESTER - Michael E. Raskiewicz, 46, of Manchester, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a brief illness.

He was born in Nashua, on April 21, 1967, a son of Alma (Brodeur) Raskiewicz of Nashua and the late Zygmunt Charles Raskiewicz Jr., who died in 2008. Mike lived in Nashua most of his life until moving to Manchester in 2004. He was employed at Pine State Trading Co. in Manchester as a truck driver. Mike loved NASCAR, snowmobiling and ice fishing, and loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother, members of his family include his wife, Melissa (Smith) Raskiewicz of Manchester; a daughter, Rebecca Claire Raskiewicz of Manchester; a brother, Charles "Chuck" Raskiewicz of Nashua; seven nieces and nephews; two aunts, Ruth Raskiewicz and Irene and her husband, Mario Boldini; three uncles, John Raskiewicz, Herbert and his wife, Lucille Caron, and Robert Brodeur; and several cousins.

Services: Calling hours will be in the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 777 W. Hollis St., Nashua, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack.
