MicroSociety Academy's Upper School is Officially Open!
MicroSociety Academy Charter School Celebrates New Upper School Facility with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Nashua, NH (April 1, 2025) — MicroSociety Academy Charter School (MACS), a chartered public school for grades PK - 8th, marked a significant milestone today as they officially expanded their school program with the opening of a new Upper School for grades 5-8. To celebrate this exciting achievement, the school hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, 10 years after receiving their charter approval. The event was attended by families, students, staff, trustees, and community members to commemorate the opening of the new middle school facility.
The newly unveiled facility, located at 589 W. Hollis St., boasts state-of-the-art STEM, art, and music rooms, flexible student workstations, and modern, inspiring classroom spaces. The expansion is designed to foster creativity, innovation, and independence among the school’s middle school students. According to the school’s Board of Trustees president, the addition of the new building has instilled a strong sense of pride and ownership in the students, who are excited to explore and care for their new learning environment.
The ribbon cutting ceremony featured welcoming remarks from Head of School, Amy Bottomley, and inspiring speeches from the President of the Board of Trustees, Barbara Halevi, and the 2024-2025 school President, Norah. Norah’s speech was particularly poignant, as she reflected on the school’s journey and growth over the years, stating, “The only direction that we’ve been going is up!” Past and present board members joined in the ribbon cutting, officially marking the opening of the new facility.
