Earlier this week we reported that the Midfield Cafe was closed following a kitchen fire. Here's an update on progress for repairs and reopening, as seen on Midfield Cafe Facebook Page:
"Still lots of work to do. Hood guys are done. Fire suppression guys are done. Air conditioners and refrigerators have been serviced. All of the old products have been discarded. Clean up company has done two-days worth of work with one more next week. Insurance adjuster has been out twice. Electrician Monday. New equipment pick up Tuesday with installation Wednesday. Fire Marshal and Board of Health Thursday and Friday. Ordering and prep for Friday which brings opening day to Saturday August 31.
