Nashua Crime Sweep: Prostitution, Meth, Heroin Charges

Five people were arrested in the latest Nashua Granite Shield crime sweep. Granite Shield is a state-funded program targeting opioids.

NASHUA, NH — Five individuals arrested in the latest Nashua Granite Shield crime sweep face charges including prostitution, selling heroin and methamphetamine possession. The sweep was conducted last week. Granite Shield is a state-funded police program targeting opioid distribution.

"Individuals were arrested for various drug crimes, and various crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior related to drug activity," Nashua Police Lt. Brian Kenney said in a statement.

These are the five individuals arrested in the sweep:

  • Wilfredo Cruz, 43, of Nashua, was charged with two counts of selling heroin (second offense). He was held in custody.
  • Robert Bouchard, 31, of Hudson, was charged with two counts of selling suboxone. He was released on bond.
  • Michael Griggs, 39, of Nashua, was charged with heroin possession and released on bond.
  • John Gora, 43, of Nashua, was charged with prostitution and released on bond.
  • Gerald Derochea, 35, of Nashua, was charged with methamphetamine possession and released on bond.

Another Nashua Granite Shield sweep in late November netted six arrests.
