Nashua Dad Remembered As 'The Most Funny & Lovable Guy'

NASHUA, NH— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Nashua, meet Jorge Silva.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Kaylene Silva who nominated Jorge Silva of Nashua.

What makes your dad extra special?

My dad was our everything — he worked so hard to give my siblings everything we wanted and more! He wasn’t just our dad, he was there for everyone else, too — if they needed help, he was known as the cheer dad. It’s a shame that he can’t be here with us to see who his children have become and to meet his beautiful first grandbaby, Sofia! He was the most funny and lovable guy you would ever meet. My dad dropped everything he was doing if someone needed him. He was always one call away and is now our beautiful guardian angel. We love you Dad and Grandpa!

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

My dad passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack in his late 30s when I was 1, my sister 11, my brother 15 and my older sister 17. He hid he was sick from us and had his own shop Silva’s AutoCare, and worked all day just to get us everything we needed. He was the best dad .
