Nashua Firefighters And AMR Respond To Kitchen Fire On Brook Street
Crews worked to quickly extinguish the fire and remained on the scene to remove smoke from the house. No one was injured in the incident.
NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue, police, and AMR responded to 38 Brook St. for several calls reporting fire Saturday at a home.
Initial reports were conflicting as some callers were reporting a food truck on fire in the driveway. In contrast, others said a kitchen fire in the home at that address, according to Nashua Fire Deputy James Kirk.
A first alarm assignment and an additional ladder truck were dispatched due to a building possibly being involved. Firefighters arrived at about 10:45 a.m. and found an active stove fire in the home's kitchen. Additional apparatus arrived on scene and the fire was quickly extinguished with minimal damage to the home.

Responders remained on the scene for approximately 90 minutes to remove smoke from the building and investigate the cause of the fire.
A total of four engines, two ladder trucks, and an AMR ambulance responded to the scene.

No occupants or firefighters were injured, Deputy Kirk said there were smoke detectors were present and working in the house and reminded people, "If you discover a fire in your home, evacuate the building immediately and call 911 from a safe distance once outside.”
