Nashua Makes Top Five Best-Run Cities In America

Wallethub compared the quality of each city's services with its budget to determine which made the best use of city funds.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua ranked among the top five best-run cities in the U.S., according to a WalletHub study published Tuesday.

WalletHub scored the country's 150 largest cities based on 38 "Quality of Services" metrics, split up into six categories: Financial Stability, Education, Health, Safety, Economy and Infrastructure/Pollution. Each city's Quality of Services score was then compared to its per-capita budget and ranked.

Nashua, New Hampshire, came in fourth, beat out only by Nampa, Idaho; Boise, Idaho; and Fort Wayne, Indiana. Manchester came in nineteenth.

Both Manchester and Nashua also had some of the best roads in the country, and Nashua's crime rate was the fourth lowest, according to WalletHub.

Washington, DC, came in dead last in the rankings, followed by San Francisco (149) and New York City (148).
