Nashua police said Jacob Murray, 23, punched a woman, held her in a headlock then stabbed a friend who tried to intervene.

NASHUA, NH -- A Nashua man was arrested Sunday after police said he punched a woman, grabbed her in a headlock then stabbed a friend who tried to intervene. Jacob Murray, 23, was charged with assault, domestic violence-related, and second-degree assault. The stabbing victim was not seriously hurt.
Nashua Police Lieutenant Craig Allard said the stabbing victim called police Sunday at about 1:19 a.m. and said Murray stabbed him.
"During the investigation it was learned that Murray was initially involved in an altercation with a female that was known to him," Allard said in a statement. "During this altercation Murray punched the female and placed her in a headlock. The second victim intervened and during that time is when Murray cut him with the knife."
