Nashua Man Strangled Woman: Police

Nashua police said Jairo Rodriguez faces 12 charges after a woman walked into the police station and told officers he assaulted her.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man faces 12 charges after police said he strangled a woman. Jairo Rodriguez (pictured), 21, was arrested Saturday.

Nashua police Captain James Testaverde said the victim walked into the police station Friday and told officers Rodriguez "assaulted her to include strangling her to the point where she felt her breathing was impeded."

Rodriguez was arrested early the next morning and charged with second-degree assault, reckless conduct, false imprisonment, criminal trespassing, criminal threatening and seven counts of assault.

Rodriguez was held on $15,000 bail pending an arraignment Monday in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.
