Nashua Man With Weapon Threatened Couple At Random: Police

Nashua police charged John Wilcox with criminal threatening.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested over the weekend after police said he randomly threatened two people with weapon. John Wilcox, 47, was charged with felony criminal threatening. He refused bail and was held in custody at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections.

Police Capt. Jonathan Lehto said on Saturday at about 9:30 p.m., an officer on patrol encountered Wilcox on Pearson Avenue.

"(The officer) witnessed (Wilcox) brandishing a cutting tool, threatening two people as they walked to their vehicle in the Pearson Avenue parking lot," Lehto said in a statement. "It was learned that the suspect was unknown to the other parties and the incident was random."

The two individuals were not hurt, Lehto said.

Wilcox was arraigned Monday in Hillsborough County Superior Court.
