Nashua Police: Man Sexually Assaulted Woman

Nashua police said Brian Clegg was arrested in connection with a sexual assault in January and held on $50,000 bail.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua police said a Hudson man was arrested over the weekend in connection with a sexual assault earlier this year. Brian Clegg (pictured), 31, was charged with a host of crimes, including two counts of sexual assault and second-degree assault.

Nashua police Lieutenant Robert Page said officers opened an investigation after receiving of an assault January 9.

"The adult victim reported that Brian Clegg placed both of his hands around her neck and squeezed to the point where her breathing was impeded," Page said in a statement.

Clegg was charged with:

  • Two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault
  • Second-degree assault
  • Two counts of assault
  • Two counts of criminal threatening

He was held on $50,000 bail pending an arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court Monday.
