Nashua Sex Offender Arrested: Police

Nashua police said Edward Salie, a "Level 3" sex offender, provided false information to police while registering his address.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua sex offender was arrested Wednesday after police said he provided false information to authorities. Edward Salie, 26 (pictured), with no fixed address, was arrested on a warrant for two counts of felony-level duty to inform, according to Nashua police Lieutenant James Testaverde. Salie allegedly gave false information to police regarding his sex offender registration.

Salie was convicted of rape in Hillsborough County Superior Court in 2012 and is required to register with police for the rest of his life. Salie was also convicted of duty to report related to his sex offender registration in 2012, according to Testaverde. Salie is a "Level 3" sex offender — the classification for the most dangerous offenders who are at a "high risk" of reoffending, according to the state Sex Offender Registry.

Salie was held on $10,000 bail pending an arraignment Thursday.
