Nashua Single-Car Crash On Dublin Ave Brings Down Live Power Lines

The driver escaped from the vehicle safely without injuries Sunday. Eversource crews will work to replace the pole; power was restored.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue, AMR ambulance, and police responded to a report of a vehicle into a utility pole with live wires down on Dublin Avenue Sunday.

Crews arrived at about 7 p.m. and found a single vehicle had collided and broke a utility pole. The primary power line fell to the ground knocking power out to the area. Nashua firefighters and AMR medics evaluated the driver and they refused medical treatment.

Eversource arrived at the scene quickly, and disconnected power to mitigate the danger at the scene near Alice Drive. Eversource had crews that had just finished working another incident on Main Street providing a quick response.

Power was out to a few homes in the immediate area and Eversource worked to quickly restore power.

Nashua police are investigating the accident and the Dublin Avenue will have travel restrictions as the utility pole is replaced and repairs are made. D&R Towing assisted at the scene in removing the vehicle.
