Nashua Woman Accused Of DWI After Leaving Multiple Merrimack Accidents

MERRIMACK, NH - Merrimack Police arrested a Nashua woman who police say left the scene of an accident Thursday afternoon on Tinker Road

Merrimack Police were notified of a motor vehicle accident on Tinker Rd, where police say one of the operators failed to stop and left the scene.

The other party in the accident followed the vehicle and provided officers with a location. Officers located the vehicle in question on Continental Blvd.

The vehicle initially failed to stop for police but ultimately came to a stop on Continental Blvd near Camp Sargent Rd.

Officers made contact with the operator, who was identified as America Alcaraz, 22, of Nashua. Alcaraz displayed signs of alcohol impairment and was taken into custody.

Alcaraz was transported to Merrimack Police Station, where she was processed. During the investigation, it was learned that Alcaraz attempted to pass a vehicle unlawfully on Tinker Rd, side-swiped the vehicle, and then left the scene.

The vehicle continued and pulled into a driveway on Peaslee Rd, striking a rock wall and leaving that scene as well.

It was learned that Alcaraz had a breath alcohol concentration more than twice the legal limit. She was charged with disobeying a police officer, conduct after an accident, aggravated DWI, and reckless driving.

She is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Merrimack District Court on June 27, 2024, to answer the charges.
