Nashua Woman Arrested At Bank For Bad Checks: Police
Nashua police said Chelsi Burke was charged with felony theft after passing a bad check at TD Bank.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua woman was recently arrested on charges she passed a fraudulent check at one bank and tried to do the same thing at another bank. Chelsi Burke, 30, was charged with theft and attempted theft, both felonies. She was released on bond.
Nashua Police Lt. Craig Allard said officers were dispatched to Digital Federal Credit Union for a report by employees that Burke tried to pass a fraudulent check. She was arrested at the bank.
"Detectives were notified of this incident and furthered the investigation," Allard said in a statement. "As a result ... Burke was charged with an additional count of Theft ... for passing a second fraudulent check at TD Bank prior to officers making contact with her at Digital Federal Credit Union."

Burke was scheduled for an arraignment Dec. 27 at Hillsborough County Superior Court.
