Burglary, Stabbing Suspects Last Seen In Salem: Police

Pelham police said a man came home to find his dog locked in a closet and two burglars in the home. A confrontation ensued.

PELHAM, NH — A New Hampshire man is alive after police said he was stabbed by burglars at his home Wednesday night. The 53-year-old man arrived home at his Pelham residence on Kopers Lane at about 7:12 p.m. and was greeted with two burglars who became spooked and tried to run out, police said.

"This caused a physical confrontation to take place inside the home and the homeowner was stabbed twice," Pelham police said in a statement. "He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was able to call for emergency assistance."

The suspects, described as a white man with long hair and a Hispanic man with a red shirt, then ran out the back door. Police were still looking for them as of Thursday afternoon.
