She was both of my son's teachers in second grade

What does this person teach?

She teaches second-grade

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

We just moved from Derry and my son was having issues. She took him under her wing and did the same for my other son. She has patience like a saint and treats her students like they were her own. I personally was having a hard year the first Christmas, and she went and got my children some Christmas gifts with her own money and time. Michelle Oro has a heart filled with love, and she never gave up on any child and always made sure no matter how long it took for them to understand the subject, she did it. She made every child feel special equally. She is just an amazing teacher. My children are 17 and 14, and to this day, they tell me how much Mrs. Oro never gave up on them, and because of her, they are who they are today. There is always one teacher in your life who made a difference. For my sons, it is Michelle Oro. She is not only my son's hero but mine as well, and we believe that any teacher deserves to hear how amazing and wonderful she is.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

She has a great heart, and she’s caring, and she loves each and every one of her students. She’s patient and kind, and she always makes the school day fun.
