Couple Allegedly Cashed Stolen Checks

Ashley Thibodeau allegedly stole checks and wrote them out to Frank Pineault, who police say cashed them.

Nashua Police Department patrol officers on June 20 arrested Frank Pineault, 36, and Ashley Thibodeau, 27, both with no fixed address, on forgery charges.

Pineault was charged with: forgery, a class B felony. Thibodeau was charged with criminal liability to forgery, a class B felony. Thibodeau also had two outstanding bench warrants at the time of her arrest; one out of Amherst where the original charge was Theft and the other from Milford where the initial charge was Forgery.

The Nashua arrests stemmed from an investigation in which it had been reported to the Nashua Police Department on June 8, 2013 that Thibodeau was suspected of stealing bank checks from a person known to her. These checks, totaling just under $1,000 were then reportedly made out to and cashed by Pineault at a local bank. The subsequent investigation revealed that both Pineault and Thibodeau were responsible for the alleged forgery.
