• City Of Nashua Hosts Inauguration Ceremony Sunday (patch.com) — Nashua residents are invited to attend the city’s 2026 Inauguration Ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 4, at the Nashua Center for the Arts, where newly elected officials will be sworn in and city leaders will offer remarks. U.S. Rep. Maggie Goodlander will officiate, and an organizational Board of Aldermen meeting will follow on-site. Those who cannot attend can watch live on Nashua GovTV or online.
   

• Humans of Nashua: Carolyn Cline (inklink.news) — Nashua’s Humane Society is in the midst of a major shelter expansion that will add a new Humane Care Center and low-cost clinical services by spring 2027. Longtime Nashua resident and volunteer Carolyn Cline shares how she helped drive the decade-long dream, her many roles in local outreach, and why volunteering here means more than her former tech career.
   

• 1 killed, at least 7 seriously hurt in Manchester blaze (unionleader.com) — Nashua firefighters were among many departments called to help battle a deadly early-morning apartment fire in Manchester that killed one person, critically injured a child, and displaced about 50 residents. Crews fought flames on the top floors, rescued multiple victims, and worked with state fire officials who are still investigating the cause while the building remains uninhabitable.
