The year ahead: Five NH events to mark on your calendar in 2026 (unionleader.com) — Nashua residents can look forward to a live “Napoleon Dynamite” anniversary show at Nashua Center for the Arts on May 2, featuring cast members and audience participation. The roundup also previews statewide 2026 highlights, from Wine Week and a Journey concert to Banana Ball games and NASCAR’s Loudon race.
   

2. New year means possible new life for Nashua's Renaissance Park mural (inklink.news) — Nashua’s long-planned Renaissance Park mural along Water Street may get revived in early January, when a newly seated finance committee reconsiders the artist contract it previously rejected. The $105,000 mural, funded through a riverfront TIF district, would celebrate Nashua’s heritage, include student-made artwork, and could be finished in time for a Memorial Day park opening if approved.
   

3. Nashua's business growth in 2025 marked in both big and little ways (inklink.news) — Nashua is seeing a wave of new jobs and small-business openings, led by manufacturers like Can-One USA, which has hired 120 workers and revived a long-vacant Burke Street building. City officials say more housing, strong transportation links, and a regional tech hub grant are drawing investment, but they stress that residents need to support local shops and restaurants to keep the momentum going.
   

4. Immigrant Warehouse in Merrimack? Some Politicians Talking, Some Not, One's Challenging (indepthnh.org) — A Nashua state representative running for Congress is sharply criticizing Rep. Maggie Goodlander over a reported proposal to use a Merrimack warehouse as an ICE detention site. The Nashua lawmaker links Goodlander’s past vote on federal detention policy to the plan, while Democratic leaders and some Merrimack representatives publicly oppose any ICE facility in New Hampshire and many officials remain silent.
