Photo Gallery: Nashua Dares to Begin New Branding Campaign

The city's new brand is officially launched.

Nashua's riverfront skyline provided a dramatic backdrop for the city's branding campaign launch on September 25.

The initiative is a joint effort by the city and the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, along with countless "champions" of the initiative, to solidify Nashua's identity as a welcoming frontier for those who willing to make a go of it - whether launching a business venture, finding a new home community, or reinventing one's self, according to event organizers.

The new "Dare to Begin" tagline and logo will be integrated into the community over the next year, including a new Destination & Visitors website that will launch, as well as a redesigned Chamber site, featuring a corresponding logo, said Tom Galligani, the city's Director of Economic Development. That site will be deploying in the next few days.

Galligani said the new city 'Destination' site, which will run independent of the existing municipal site, should be up and running in the next few weeks.

The brand does note replace Nashua's "Gate City" designation; rather it is meant to compel businesses and individuals to consider the possibilities once they enter the city limits.

The project was 18-months in the making, and included an independent analysis of Nashua by Tennessee-based North Star Agency, as well as creative design and development work by Nashua-bases MESH Agency.

"For the past 250-plus years of our history, Nashua's leaders have been saying different things about doing business in Nashua -- not necessarily the wrong things, just not the same things," said Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Chris Williams.

"We can be more effective if we're all actually out there on the same page, singing from the same sheet of music when it comes to advocating for Nashua as a place to do business," Williams said.
