2 Home Invasion Robberies Under Investigation
Nashua Police: The second robbery on Fletcher Street on Saturday involved two men armed with a handgun and a hatchet.
Nashua police are investigating two home invasion robberies in the past week at separate locations on Fletcher Street, the latest on Saturday afternoon when men armed with a handgun and a hatchet broke into a residence.
An undisclosed amount of property was taken and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Nashua Police Department is investigating leads in the case.
The first robbery June 11 was at about 7:50 p.m. when a victim reported two men entered his apartment, with masks on, and began assaulting him by punching him. The victim was also pepper-sprayed by one of the men, police said.
An undisclosed amount of property was taken and the men fled the area. Police are still developing descriptions of the assailants with the use of surveillance video in the area. The resident pepper-sprayed was treated for exposure at the scene and not seriously injured, police said.
The second robbery occurred at about 3:20 p.m. June 14 when two victims reported two Hispanic men forced entry into their residence, with one armed with a handgun and the other armed with a hatchet.
They demanded property and then fled, and were seen leaving in a gray or silver BMW traveling south on Main Street, police said.
The first man is described as being about 6 feet tall, thin build, last seen wearing a blue shirt and red shorts. The second man was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt with a white stripe down the sleeve, according to Nashua Police.
Neither victim in the second robbery was injured, police said.
