Stylist to Represent U.S. in International Competition
Stylist Rachel Aidan of Aidan James Salon Wins Gold for USA Color Zoom.
A Nashua stylist in on her way to the international "Olympics" of hair color, Goldwell's Color Zoom 2013, to be held October in Los Angeles.
Rachel Aidan of Aidan James Salon in Nashua was selected from thousands of entries to attend this three-day event Oct. 5-8, which draws more than 2,500 hairdressers from 40 countries, showcasing the best talent in the industry for hair, fashion and inspiration.
Contestants will go head-to-head, quite literally, competing against national finalists from around the world for the title of Global Creative Colorist, Global New Talent Colorist or Global Partner Colorist and a spot on the Global Color Zoom Creative Team that will create the next Color Zoom Collection.

Aiden's award winning look was chosen based her submission, including photographs by Anthony Grassetti of Manchester, showcased on model Siobhan Jencks of Nashua. The final look earned her a Gold Medal in the US leg of the competition in three pre-determined categories including: Interpretation of the Trend, Color Technique and Product Use, and Professionals and Aesthetics of the Picture as judged by a panel of Goldwell Hair Color experts, including Maggie Mulhern of Modern Salon Magazine, Jackie Summers from Behind The Chair Magazine, Randy Taylor of Hairbrained, and Celebrity Hair Stylist Matthew Holman.
Another victory for the Nashua-based salon was awarding first-time contestant and Aidan James senior artist, Terry Graham, with a bronze medal in Professional Choice Awards.
