Sandy Pond Park Splash Pad Out of Commission
Repairs should be done by Wednesday at the latest.

Summer has landed with a vengeance, bringing with it a heat wave. Those who stopped by Sandy Pond Splash Pad for some relief Monday were disappointed to find that there was no splashing, even as temperatures creeped into the 90s.
Although the splash pad got off to a promising start the 2013 city swimming pool season officially kicked off, a malfunction shut down the popular cooling off area early in the day.
A city spokesman said the splash pad should be up and running by Wednesday at the latest, possibly sooner.
