Save the Date: Nashua PAL to Showcase Youth Photo Project
Innovative project at Nashua PAL will provide insights into the world of our young people.

Nashua Police Athletic League will be opening their doors Nov. 26 to the PAL Youth Safe Haven, which provides quality, safe care after school and during vacation periods to the children in downtown Nashua.
This open house will be featuring a special project, PhotoVoice Nashua. PhotoVoice is an international project which empowers participants (in this case youth) to document the realities of their community and then allows them to share this information to effect positive change. Youth in this project use photography and writing to examine issues from their perspective. The images produced, and the conversation will help us get closer to truly understanding the lives and needs of our youth.
The Photo Voice project began in the spring of 2013 when Nashua PAL received funding from the NH Charitable Foundation to secure cameras and training for a handful of youth from PAL and Boys and Girls Club. Since that point the conversation has definitely continued. Each participant received a camera, photo training, and a common goal to document different parts of their life.
Photos were carefully chosen and each artist will be there to highlight their work and continue the dialogue created by the youth participants. The presentation will take place at Nashua PAL Youth Safe Haven, 52 Ash St, Nashua. This event is open to the public.
