GILFORD, N.H. June 10, 2024 – Breezeline has awarded Gilford High School senior Damian Beck its “Future of New Hampshire Tech” scholarship. Breezeline presented the scholarship to Beck at last week’s senior award ceremony at Gilford High School.

“Thank you to Breezeline for this opportunity,” said Beck. “I am excited to start this new chapter of my life at the University of New Hampshire, and this scholarship will greatly help me get my degree."

Beck plans to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering at the University of New Hampshire. “Breezeline’s ‘Future of New Hampshire Tech’ scholarship is meant to help students pursue careers in science and technology,” said Corey Foster, region director of operations for Breezeline. “We hope to ease the financial burden of college so students can achieve their goals.”

In partnership with the non-profit STEM organization FIRST New Hampshire Robotics, Breezeline developed the scholarship for students participating in the FIRST Robotics program. Beck served as a captain for his robotics team, The Screaming Eagles, which built robots to contend in competitions across New England.

“Our goal is to spark students’ interest in STEM,” said Ken St. Hilaire of FIRST New Hampshire Robotics. “We are proud that FIRST Robotics helped Damian discover a passion for engineering.”
