Sex Offender Arrested for Failure to Report
Nashua police say the charges were upgraded to felonies due to previous convictions for offender non-compliance.
The Nashua Police Department arrested a registered sex offender May 7 on charges he failed to notify authorities of his place of employment.
Police said Robert Dube, 67, of 23 Temple St., Apt. 1, Nashua, was arrested and faces Class A felony charges.
Nashua detectives were alerted to the non-compliance in February. Upon investigating further, they learned Dube has worked in Fitchburg, Mass., since 2013 and failed to report on his quarterly registrations five times.
He was charged with four additional counts of failure to report, and the charges were upgraded due to previous convictions for the offender non-compliance.
A Class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years in state prison, exclusive of fines. Dube was released on $2,000 cash bail pending arraignment June 9.
